Learn about Lake Geneva, nestled between Milwaukee, Chicago, and Madison as we explore the different tours and activities on the lake. Most notable is the Mailboat Tour. Summer employees jump off a moving boat to deliver the mail along the shore and have to make it back to the boat before it steers away. Listen in and let us know if you think host Ren could keep up with the teens who take on the job!

Drink of the Day
Our podcast episode starts with the drink, Found Watermelon Basil. It’s a little more sour than expected, but not bad. Our guest’s choice is lemonade, with or without Ruby Red Vodka. Prickly pear lemonade was mentioned several times, but we haven’t been able to find it bottled to bring it on the show. If you know where we can find it, let us know in the comments!
Jack Lothian of Lake Geneva Cruise Line joins us for Episode 34! Lake Geneva Cruise Line offers boat tours and charters from 1 to 2 hours and can handle anywhere from 2 to 225 people. Geared toward the history of the area, learn about Lake Geneva, the playground for Chicago’s wealthy, from the gorgeous view of one of their 8 distinct boats. It’s a glacier made lake, with clean, clear, water, the perfect place for some respite.
One of the most popular tours, the Mailboat Tour can handle about 150 guests and the season runs from June 15th to September 15th. Watching this event live has definitely been added to our bucket list!
There are a variety of other tours available. There are lunch and dinner cruises, historical tours, and even the opportunities to go inside one of the estates located on the lake. Don’t miss the Santa Cruise during the holiday season!
There is plenty to do at the lake year round. Ziplining tours, magic shows, fishing, jet skiing, the lake is the epicenter of it all. You can find out more by visiting Cruise Lake Geneva, Santa Cruise, or US Mailboat.
