#48: The Food Tour
We’re joined by The Food Tour Company in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Be prepared to have your mouth watering as we talk about the taste of Santa Fe. Rupert talks history and his best tips of how to travel and taste food in any new city you visit, his goals when you come on a food tour, and why sometimes the travel itineraries go out the window (literally).
You can download this episode from your favorite podcast listening app (how?) or listen to it below. Check here for links, photos, and any video talked about during the show!
Drink of the Day
This episode’s Drink of the Day was Gooey Butter Cake by Excel. Ashley was a fan, while Ren was not. Try it out and let us know what you think!
Rupert from The Food Tour Company joins us as we talk about our favorite subject besides travel: food! He shares some of his New Mexico favorites and tips for tasting food in any city you visit.
Rupert suggests that even in your own city you can look for restaurants that match the heritage of the city. In doing so, you’ll probably find some of the best restaurants to try.
There are three goals of the Food Tour Company:
- Have a good time
- Learn about the food, the partners, and the history
- Leave pleasantly full
Check out Rupert and The Food Tour Company on their website for tickets and more information and on their Instagram.
- Olive Garden for the Lemon Creme Cake
- Porked in Pittsburgh, PA
- Tipsy Robot in Las Vegas, NV
- Cowgirl in Santa Fe, NM for the beef BBQ
- Macalicious in Santa Fe, NM for the green chile mac & cheese called Santa Fe
- Casa Chimayo in Santa Fe, NM for the Navajo Taco (Rupert’s favorite!)
New Mexico is still on our bucket list, but Carla, a previous guest from Everyone But Two (Part 1 and Part 2), recently visited and fell in love. Listen to her gush about the city here.
